Polycarp Igathe Biography
Polycarp Igathe (born 21 September 1972) is a Kenyan businessman, politician and corporate executive.
On March 16 2020, Equity Group Holdings Plc announced that Igathe had re-joined the Equity Executive team as the Group Chief Commercial Officer reporting to the Group CEO.
Prior to this, Igathe served as the Vice President in charge of Sales and Marketing in Vivo Energy Africa.
Before that, he served as the Chief Commercial Officer of Equity Bank Kenya, between May 2018 and September 2018 when he was later promoted to the Managing director position.
Igathe later quit the position to run for Nairobi Governor on Azimio La Umoja ticket.
He lost to UDA candidate Johnston Sakaja.
This week, Johannesburg-based Tiger Brands announced that Igathe would be joining the company as the Chief Growth Officer – Rest of Africa starting December 1, 2022.

He later joined Strathmore University for Advanced Management Program (AMP) with IESE Business School in Spain.
After graduating, he got his first job in Australia. A year and a half later, he came back to Kenya and started working for Coca-Cola until the year 2000.
