amed for one of the main accusers of the Salem Witch Trials of 1692, Abigail Williams has been a band of change, in terms of members (a near-constant lineup in flux surrounding Ken Sorceron (Real Name: Ken Bergeron) vocals/guitars), homes (originally from Phoenix, but they've also resided in Los Angeles, New York, and Washington State) and even musical styles, meandering from early metalcore leanings to symphonic black metal on their early albums to atmospheric black metal as of late.
Abigail Williams would arrive on the scene with the Legend EP in 2006 under the membership of Ken Sorceron (vocals/guitars/keyboards (tracks 4, 5)/songwriting (tracks 1-5)), Bjorn "Bjornthor" Dannov (guitars/songwriting (track 2)), Brad Riffs (guitars/songwriting (track 4)), Zach Gibson (drums), Kyle Dickinson (bass) and Ashley "Ellyllon" Jurgemeyer (Real Name: Ashley Hill; keyboards/piano/orchestrations/sSongwriting (tracks 1-4)) to be followed by In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns (2008) with Sorceron and Ellyllon with all new members Plaguehammer

Walk Beyond The Dark
Back in March 2018 Sorceron quit THE FACELESS. He started the reason was to focus on this album. So it's had 18 months of work done to create this. ABIGAIL WILLIAMS has the weirdest history of band members. They currently have just the one full time band member. They have another additional 2 in ex-THE FACELESS drummer Bryce Butler and guitarist Bryan O' Sullivan, who was briefly the bassist of this band back in 20012 to 2013. Still following? Enough about the weird band history. Let's see if quitting THE FACELESS was worth it.
"I Will Depart" kicks off the album superbly. The slow build-up works well to add depth from the off. Vocally it is very easy to keep up with the flow, which is sometimes an issue within the Black metal sub-genres. The drum beat is steadily increased into the 2nd quarter of the song. You can hear the guitar in the background attempting some more technical riffs, which work. The song has more emphasis on building the progression of the song, which good to hear. You can appreciate each section of the song far more cl

Abigail Williams (band)
American black metal band
Abigail Williams is an American black metal band, originally from Phoenix, Arizona, but now based in Olympia, Washington. Since their formation in 2004, the group has suffered near-constant changes to their line-up. The band even disbanded in 2007 for a short time before reforming and writing their debut full-length album. Shortly after an eight-week tour in support of their debut full-length album In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns (2008), vocalist Ken Sorceron would become the only original member remaining.
The group initially performed a symphonic black metal style, but with the release of the band's second full-length album In the Absence of Light (2010), Abigail Williams would switch to a traditional black metal sound that was also carried out into their third full-length album titled Becoming (2012).
History
Abigail Williams was founded in 2004 by guitarist Ken Bergeron,[1] who later became the vocalist and would eventually adopt the moniker Ken Sorceron. Bergeron was previously the bassist o
