Peter Thomas Scolariwas an American television, film, and stage actor, director, producer, and comedian. For Disney, he replaced Rick Moranisas the role of Wayne Szalinskifor Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show, on which he also served as producer and directed several episodes. Scolari's other Disney roles included Donald Himmel in Camp Nowhere, Edwin Hadley in The Ultimate Christmas Present, Louis in Sorority Boys, Mel in Fosse/Verdon, and Derek Sanders in Perfect Harmony. He also voiced Preston Vogelin the animated series Gargoyles.

Scolari was born in New Rochelle, New York and began performing at age 13 during his high school years. He enrolled at Occidental College in Los Angeles as a theater arts major, but left a year later. He joined the Colonnades Theatre Lab, a repertory theatre in Manhattan, working with actors, such as Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman, Jeff Goldblum, and Michael O'Keefe. He appeared in several stage productions before relocating to Los Angeles.

Peter Thomas Scolari (September 12, 1955 – October 22, 2021) was an American actor. He was best known for his roles as Michael Harris on Newhart (1984–1990) and Henry Desmond in Bosom Buddies (1980–1982). He also played Billy the Lonely Boy in the 2004 movie The Polar Express.

Scolari won an Emmy Award for his role as Tad Horvath on Girls in 2016.[1]
